Art Workshops

What are Art Workshops?

Our Art Workshops are taught by Richard Larkin and allow you to explore your creative talents using acrylics. These workshops are the perfect opportunity for you to join other like-minded people to share knowledge, ideas, and experiences.

Saturday morning art sessions are a ‘paint along’ with the tutor demonstrating the blending techniques and mark making using the brushes supplied. The paints used are by Chroma and Atelier Interactive, which do not for a ‘skin’ as quickly as most acrylic, so easier to use.

It is predominantly a landscape painting class, but it is participant led. The class are asked to suggest subject matter.

The sessions are for beginners and improvers, we also have participants who have attended these sessions for some time.

“Get to know what your brush can do” or as some of our artists state- “Playing with paint”.

‘Art Mixed Media Club’

‘Art club’ is a session run on Wednesday mornings- where you can bring your own materials and work on your own projects if you wish with the help from Richard- our Art Tutor. This class has a nice friendly atmosphere, sharing advice and painting inspiration.

If you need materials supplied, we can also provide this.

‘Pen & Ink’

Draw and sketch along with Richard using Pen & Ink. A great way to get creative with little equipment needed.

Benefits:

Our workshops are a friendly and calming environment suitable for people of all ages and abilities. They are perfect for trying something new or developing existing talents in painting. Some materials are included in the cost of the class.
