Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy

What is Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy?

This counselling is offered by UKCP registered therapist, Cassie Carson. Cassie is passionate about working with young people and children who have suffered early developmental trauma, and who have additional special needs.

Psychotherapy is an opportunity for children to find new ways of expressing their emotions and communicating the issues they face in an open and non-judgemental environment. Child therapy is a way of helping a child or young person to make sense of angry, painful, sad or confusing thoughts and feelings.

Why Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy?

Cassie is able to work creatively with children and young people to provide the best level of therapy. Her work often involves the use of sand tray therapy, drawing, painting, and play, as well as talking about events and experiences to engage with her clients.

When working with younger children Cassie works closely with parents and families and joint sessions may be appropriate. Psychotherapy sessions are confidential unless the child is at risk or other children might be at risk.

Cassie Carson has 10 years of counselling experience with adults and young people in private practice and 8 years experience of working therapeutically with children and teenagers in schools.

Whether you are looking for therapy for yourself or your child, Cassie recommends that you initially have a phone conversation for you to discuss your needs and reasons for seeking therapy at this time, and for you to get a feel as to whether she is the right practitioner for you.
