Photography Group

What is Photography Group?

Run by local professional photographer David Charles Mason, our Photography Group is an enjoyable and relaxing forum that will enable you to develop your photography skills at your own pace, to a level that suits you.

The group is “magazine” style with a mixture of demonstrations, technical tips, and photography/art appreciation through looking at the work of the masters and current contemporary photography.

You will be encouraged to share your work in our non-competitive environment, and realise how surprising it can be to see things from someone else’s viewpoint.

Why Photography Group?

During our Photography Group sessions, you will be able to increase your confidence in your picture taking, learn new techniques, and discover some of the great photographers of the 19th and 20th centuries. You will develop your “seeing eye” as we go beyond the technicalities of the camera.
